Job Description

Launch 3 Telecom is seeking a candidate for our Business Development position to grow worldwide opportunities for our telecom equipment distribution company. It is essential that you have previous experience in a position like this. Candidates will be promoting all types of telecom equipment in categories such as cell site, data center, IT networks, and central office. The focus of this position will be to drive new business relationships, generate increased sales, and explore client development initiatives. We are seeking someone to drive sales of equipment as well as our services in order to benefit all facets of the company. This person will promote our equipment capabilities and drive business with mobile operators, carriers, and other companies.In addition, they will manage the account alongside the Inside Sales Representative. This position will develop a reliable and targeted contact list for potential growth opportunities. You will be required to seek out and gather details of client equipment needs and coordinate fulfillment activities. You will be expected to aggressively and effectively represent Launch 3 Telecom as a value-added company. The successful candidate will need to clearly understand the marketplace and how to exploit available resources to present solutions as a means to secure new opportunities. In addition, you will work closely with the Account Managers to ensure that shared goals are reached. Development of new business alliances with prospective customers, vendors and partnering companies will be critical for this role. PLEASE NO RECRUITERS OR STAFFING AGENCIES. WE WILL NOT RESPOND!


  • Initiate face-to-face customer contact with high value enterprise accounts
  • Cultivate short, medium and long term prospects to assist and drive the expansion of Launch 3 Telecom.
  • Time allocation of 70% Traveling and 30% in-office
  • Establish and leverage effective customer relationships to ensure successful sales prospects.
  • Work closely with the Account Manager to ensure successful completion of sales process and customer solutions are effectively delivered
  • Provide accurate weekly reports by agreed deadlines and ad-hoc reports when requested
  • Participate in events to gain first-hand experience with clients for tailoring future sales efforts.
  • Build customer offers that maximize profitability for Launch 3 Telecom while securing new business
  • Deliver a world class customer experience through effective relationships with customers and staff both internally and externally
  • Have a full understanding of the customer offer and experience delivered by competitors
  • Ensure a timely and complete all other departments to ensure consistency in customer experience
  • Maximize Launch 3 Telecom’s exposure to the marketplace through Trade Shows, Meetings, and Seminars
  • Familiarity with major equipment manufacturers such as Alcatel-Lucent, Andrew, Ericsson, and others.


  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Communications field is required
  • 3 years of business development experience, B2B, or similar
  • Experience in telecommunications and networking solutions preferred
  • Proven record of achieving success in business and handling more complex sales with multi contacts within an organization
  • Capable of working within a growing company and able to build strong relationships and credibility with customers both internally and externally
  • Proven record of customer relationship building and implementing customer focused sales activities
  • Proven ability to work independently with little direction while attaining regular success in sales territory
  • Trade show experience both presenting and meeting generation
  • Consultative selling and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to network
