The SPECTRUM II product platform is a family of compact, cost effective, highly reliable, easily configurable, versatile, short-haul microwave radio systems designed for reliable point-to-point transmission of data and/or voice signals. A typical
microwave radio system, also referred to as a link, consists of two terminals, with each terminal operating in the same frequency band on complementing transmit/receive frequencies. Each SPECTRUMII terminal consists of an antenna
and mount, Outdoor Unit (ODU), Indoor Unit (IDU) and an IDU-to-ODU interconnect cable. The IDU of each terminal is connected to user termination equipment via customer-provided cabling.

A system configured for non-protected operation consists of:

• One 1U IDU
• Non-protected ODU (consisting of one RF Basic with one Personality Module)
• One antenna and antenna mount

• Two 1U IDUs with the Protection cable and tributary “Y” cables
• Protected ODU (consisting of two RF Basics with two Personality Modules)
• One antenna and antenna mount
• Two IDU–ODU coaxial cables
