FCD-E1 access units are integrating multiplexers for voice and data traffic over E1/T1 or Fractional E1/T1 links. They can also be used as rate and interface converters for E1/T1 and Fractional E1/T1 services. The units also operate opposite RAD's modular DXC products to support multilink star applications, such as access to SDH/SONET networks. The FCD-E1 access unit has high performance Ethernet bridging and IP routing capabilities, enabling them to extend or segment LANs over E1/T1 links.
