The ETX-102 Ethernet demarcation deviceis an intelligent carrier-owned and operated demarcation unit installed at the customer premises, which transport Ethernet traffic over the fiber Local Loop. Supporting advanced Ethernet-based operation, administration and management (OAM) features, the ETX-102 Ethernet demarcation device provides service differentiation, rate limiting, VLAN stacking, and end-to-end control up to the customer site to permit enforcement of service level agreements. By deploying the ETX-102 at the customer premises, service providers can extend their reach and control over the fiber Local Loop while facilitating management of differentiated services (such as interoffice LAN connectivity, Internet access and virtual private networks (VPNs).
