The Alcatel-Lucent 1570 BB broadband hybrid fiber coax (HFC) transmission system is designed for transparent optical and electric transmission of analog broadband signals over cable networks. The product family includes: optical transmitters, amplifiers and receivers; optical cable and splitter; coaxial amplifiers; coax-cable and coax-splitter; compact and modular fiber nodes; line extender; and network management facilities to meet the requirements of an advanced HFC network. The modular product family is flexible enough to allow the low-cost deployment of different network structures in any type of network topology.
